Tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) has been listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2021 and is still made by hand today and worn both in Palestine and among its diaspora. Having become a symbol of cultural resistance, this workshop offers an introduction to the basics of tatreez in order to convey its essence and create a moment of sharing and conviviality.

Workshop conducted in French and/or English depending on participants

Nur Dasoki is a multidisciplinary artist of Lebanese-Palestinian origin. She is interested in cultural transmission and explores different forms of resistance from diaspora perspectives in Switzerland. She shares and makes accessible themes of identity beyond the field of contemporary art by approaching it through embroidery, sound and food. Having graduated in 2025 with a Master’s degree in socially engaged artistic practices from HEAD, she now teaches traditional Palestinian embroidery, thus affirming her resilience in the face of dominant narratives.
