Idalecio Pereira expands his ongoing exploration of economic structures, memory, and the absurd for this  research residency, which culminates in a wall-sized labyrinthine drawing—a fragmented floor plan filled with dead ends—alongside an installation of meticulously collected office supplies and sachets of water. These objects, both mundane and excessive, extend from his System of Systems universe, a body of work interrogating the invisible architectures of control and circulation.

In parallel, Pereira presents Burning, a self-composed musical performance that channels the weight of economic entanglements into sound and rvoice. Between accumulation and erasure, fragmentation and repetition, his work highlights the mechanics of value, debt and restitution.

Idalecio Pereira (*1997) is a visual, sound and performance artist. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, into a family of evangelist musicians, he trained in graphic design and later the visual arts at the University of Sao Paulo. He holds a bachelor from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art et Design de Dijon and a masters from the Haute École d’ Art et Design of Geneva, where he received the Neuman Prize from the City of Geneva for his diploma project. His research gravitates between the analysis of the elements which constitute the presence of the economy in life, the analysis of collective memory and the pursuit of poetry.
